Mold Damage – Scottsdale Window AC Unit

Mold damage at this Scottsdale home began when a window air conditioning unit developed a minor leak which dripped onto the drywall beneath the window. As can be seen, it ultimately created quite a mess. Once the mold gets a small foothold, it expands very rapidly. We needed to tear out a section of the drywall to allow us to dry sufficiently and treat the structural materials behind the wall. The floor had also been damaged beyond repair and required removal. The small leak in the air conditioner had created a major damage event and a major expense. With the damaged materials removed and the subfloor and structural materials dried and treated with an antimicrobial agent, we began the reconstruction phase of the project. The final results were beyond satisfactory to the owner.
